HUNGER

Nothing worse than drug deprivation

I’m desperate for the magical connection

Take my family take my job

I’m all that counts let them sob

Get my fix, let my kids go without

Getting well is what it’s all about

You’d understand if you’ve been there

A beating heart can join the fare

Pay a visit to the Tex/Mex diner

Get your pills there’s nothing finer

Sounds of the drive thru dinner bell

The fast lane spiked with fentanyl

Take a little tablet laced with death

Be very careful don’t hold your breath

Cheap as dirt is what they say

Down my throat every minute of the day

Take it for a ride

 And play with suicide

Five seconds of pure dope

It’s worth a lifetime of pure hope
