Craving a drug is my only thought

Without it I’ll lie here and rot

 

Nothing to give only desperate to take

My outside looks good my inside’s a fake

 

Need chemical solutions to make life tolerable

Without them life is insufferable.

 

I don’t want your pity I did this to me

A shadow of myself I’m driving on empty

 

China White is my treatment of choice

I would cry for help if I had a voice

 

Stuck in time my hands are broken

The syringe is dry, a worthless token

 

Seconds seem like hours, and hours last forever

The fantasy of getting well ensues at never

 

Just say no was Nancy’s lie

Just say yes was the way to die

 

Just say yes or just say no

I’ll say what you want for an ounce of blow

 

The stories are true and sadly sickening

Time is up when my soul quits ticking
