I'VE HAD ENOUGH
I should have left you, I was a fool
you came home late, that was the rule
you're drunk, you're sorry, an empty excuse
why did I stay and take the abuse
don't cry or scream, you raised your hand
smack me again, prove you're a man
only two reasons, why I stayed with you
deep shame and fear, you know it's true
your life or mine, which one did I lead?
go on, hit me, make me bleed
you once had a soul, and so did I
you took mine away, I want to die
keep pounding and hurting, you’re getting rough
choke me and shake me, show me you’re tough
ten years of terror has iced my veins
hit me again and I'll blow out your brains
the best reward, as I sealed your fate
was the look on your face, a black thirty-eight
self preservation, it's not a bluff
I pulled the trigger, I've had enough
